Once you have met the the Pinzgauer, Nicholas and Zack (best dog ever) you will go back to when you had 10 years old and find that inner child. Incredible ride, amazing views in secret places well hidden where you can actually swim and everyone goes at their own pace and limit so extremely good for all ages. You even get to taste some great berries when they are in season right off their leaves. The guide Nicholas who was fun, smart and very entertaining knows the place and he clearly loves sharing information about it so just take the trip it’s worth your money and even more! Kamal

My wife and I visited here in August 2018 after booking our tour online. We booked the Safari Edouard jeep tour (actually a 4-wheel-drive Pinzgauer) and met the guide at the pre-designated location provided to us via email. Our guide, Nicholas, was terrific! He spoke French and English perfectly and was funny and informative. The tour took us up to the top of Mont Edouard, a (steep!) ski hill in wintertime. The ride was definitely bumpy! We walked around on the summit with Nicholas pointing out various plants (edible and otherwise), points of geographic interest, as well as historical information. We led us to the lookouts, various walking paths, and the lookout tower. The jeep ride down was thrilling at points but we never felt any danger. A great tour with a terrific guide – merci Nicholas!

We did not planned any activity. So we asked to Horizon Evasion for proposals: large choice, from 2h long to 4h long, from easy to difficult etc. We chose for the 2h visit in a crazy jeep; and walking a bit through a nice wood to a salm river. My 2 daughters of 9y and 11y had fun! I did as well! Very nice! Great and funny guides, explanation on trees and plants...

Nicolas took our small family (we are a couple with one 8-year-old child) on a tour of the "hidden waterfalls" in his 4-wheel-drive Pinzgauer, and we loved it so much that we set up a guided kayak trip on the calm waters of the Saint-Jean River. During both trips, Nicolas was a knowledgeable nature guide. On the waterfall tour, after a short hike through the woods, we climbed over rocks and splashed in the water, assured of the best route with his help. Kayaking, we enjoyed amazing views and time to soak in the surroundings. Our daughter even became confident enough to kayak on her own. We felt right at home among the rivers, rocks, and 4-wheel-drive roads of Nicolas's home turf. For us, it perfectly combined calm enjoyment of nature and a new adventurous experience. (That Pinzgauer ride is bumpy, windy and FAST: it left my daughter laughing with delight, though I cringed a little at the lack of seatbelts!) We fell in love with this wilderness. Truly special.

The Horizon Evasion buggy tour is a must for anyone visiting the L'Anse Saint-Jean region. The bug racers are easier to drive than ATV's and with a few short directions you will be on your way. Nick and Fred will taylor your ride to meet the level of experience you have off-roading. The scenery is spectular and the information added by the guides is excellent. We went twice during our stay and enjoyed both times.
