Although I fractured my ankle this past February which ended my skiing season...(Not by skiing by the way) I think it's the best place anywhere to spend winter days! The Chalet always has a fire in the stove. You can rent skis if you've never skied before and they will even give you a few start-up lessons. There are competitive x-country events for kids and adults and a variety of challenging and cardio trails. The nice thing is that you can leave your home and be there in about 15 - 20 minutes. Talk about having a resort in your own back yard!

The race was perfectly organized and the hospitality of the hosts was amazing. The food was well organized and the food crew were all very welcoming. The trails are very interesting with a lot of variability in terrain and some sweet downhills. The warm-up loop was just the right distance and terrain.

I brought my son up for the 2015 Midget Championships in March, 2015.
We arrived a day earlier than usual so we were able to ski on Thursday as well as Fri-Sunday. It was worth coming up a day early. We had the chance to ski the trails several times, and they are absolutely phenomenal. I've skied all over Ontario and Temiskaming Nordic is right up there with anywhere I've been.
The race itself was incredibly well run, but the trails are what will bring us back. Stop reading this, go skiing, you'll thank me later!

We had the most wonderful weekend. The location was idyllic; the club, volunteers and everyone involved made it special. The entire event was welcoming and run like a well-oiled machine.
My son is 11, in his first competitive year and this was his first major race. What a beautiful sport; what a beautiful community.
He will carry memories of this weekend for the rest of his life. His 8 year old sister didn’t take her skis off all weekend!
We are hooked!
Thank you for your hard work, hospitality and obvious experience in hosting such an event.
We look forward to visiting Temiskaming Nordic again!

Temiskaming Nordic was the host for the 2015 midget Nordic championships. The race was very well-run, the volunteers friendly and the trails well groomed. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped make this event a success.
