About
Kacaba Vineyards Winery is a premium winery located on prime bench land of The Niagara Escarpment in Vineland, ON. In 1997 Michael Kacaba launched Kacaba Vineyards; saving the Escarpment Benchland from a developer’s bulldozer. Today, Michael and his team craft a full range of wines, including their highly awarded estate grown Syrah (Ontario’s oldest plantings.) Smaller batch sizes assure that the Winemaker's focus is placed on producing wine of merit, with emphasis on creating wines rich in aromas, deep in color and character with velvety finishes. With a view across Lake Ontario to Toronto, guests are welcome to sample wines with multiple awards from Canadian & International competitions. The wine boutique is open daily. - Kristina D376 contributionsOur favourite winery!Hands down, Kacaba is our favourite winery in the Bench area. Here, you can expect a proper guided tasting, with charming and knowledgeable staff (we’ve enjoyed tastings with Joe on our most recent visit, and Mark previously). Their reds are outstanding, and we also really enjoy their sparkling and their Chardonnays. We left with 2 cases! - Pooja CSingapore, Singapore255 contributionsAmazing wine tasting venueWe went to Kacaba on Canada long weekend for wine tasting, my sister is their wine subscription member. It made for a very well used Saturday. Everyone at the winery were great, I had a bunch of questions and David MacCallum was only too happy to answer and explain away their history. Their chief winemaker Vadim Chelekhov has amassed quite a bunch of accolades for this winery making it a great winery to choose subscription with. We were served by Colin Parcher who went out of his way to explain each wine we were tasting and is my sister’s fav sale rep to reach out to. Overall a 5 star service and 5 star event. - GuywilltravelToronto, Canada206 contributionsAn outstanding experience ....ask for Joe!We were a group of three and set up our own wine tour. We usually visit the Niagara region several times a year, but this was our first visit in almost a year. This was the first of five winery visits that were completed this trip. The facilities are impressive. We did not make a reservation for this tasting visit and we were taken in upon arrival - excellent. The tasting was conducted indoors and the associated tasting fees are reasonable. Joe was our host for this visit and he was AMAZING. He was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic with respect to the history of the winery and each of wine varietals that we tasted. While white wines are available for tasting this winery is known for reds, and they did not disappoint. An outstanding experience this visit – one of the very best experiences, ever. We did purchase several bottles at the wine shop at the end of the tasting. We will definitely return for another visit in the future.Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten July 3, 2023

Excellent reds, especially the Syrahs. Their tasting menu is a little pricey for the pour that you get, and really forces you to buy two of the wines to make it worthwhile. While the product is good, I don’t get the welcoming feel that we’ve had at other, small boutique wineries in the area. The server was very good, and knowledgeable, and didn’t push too hard. Not sure we’ll be back.

We had the best experience with Mark (October 29). We have been to so many wineries in the area but this was our first visit to Kacaba. It was by far one of our favourite experiences. We will be back for sure and we will be telling our friends.

Our first visit was in 2018, we had a tasting in their little boutique, stood up at the bar and we found in love with their Reserve syrah. Stopped by last year without reservations (covid obliged), we bought the Syrah reserve. The person was nice enoigh to have us sample the wine. Magnifique. We promised ourselves to come back this year with a reservation for a formal tasting. So we did it and David our host was exceptional like the wines of Kacaba. The installations changed a lot since 2018, they have now seatings inside and outside ( picnic tables, adirondack chairs)and if you wish you can order food . The tasting is $25pp and they reimburse at the purchase of 2 bottles (pretty easy to do ). As mentioned previously, David was an excellent host, knowledgeable, he knows wines and his products.
We had pre ordered Reserve syrah 2020. We really appreciated Barrel fermented Chardonnay 2017, Terrasse vineyard syrah 2017 , reserve syrah 2018, cabernet franc reserve 2018, merlot reserve 2020 and Meritage reserve 2020. No doubt that is was one of our best tastings of the week. Kacaba is definitely a must. Too bad that we don’t live closer. But they do delivery.

Always a fabulous place to visit. My husband and I have been club members for several years now because their wines are some of the best in the region. Having moved several hours away I miss going to kacaba but was recently in the area so we dropped in. Although it was almost closing time when we arrived they still took the time to give us another experience that exceeded our expectations. If you want to learn about wine and winemaking while tasting excellent wine then you must go to Kacaba

Very personal service - small but loved the wines. Quality of wines was excellent. The representative was very knowledgeable and friendly. Wide enough range of prices.
