Be sure to go to the onsen on the Kurodake Sounkyo side

Onsen had many different waters but nothing compared to Noboribetsu. Because the hike up Kurodake Sounkyo is so amazing, it's totally worth coming here.

Highly recommended onsen with beautiful outdoor view. Rocks and greenery while bathing in the steamy sulfur bath as a bird graces in front of you. Very clean and well kept.

Unlike more famous Onsens that sport towns dedicated to stripping tourists from their money, this area is refreshingly under-developed. The primary activities are enjoying nature. Not for everyone, some people might be bored.
