What a great place - all levels covered off - Panorama lives up to its name. Crowds are non existent with us having the runs to ourselves at times. Well groomed runs with very comfortable skiing. Blue sky days are amazing but when it's snowing or foggy still plenty of fun to be had on lower slopes. Highly recommend it... More

Really nice resort, Lots of terrain to choose from and good snow. I was a Ski instructor at Evergreen Ski School and I really enjoyed my season. I would recommend going to happo on holiday. However the ski lifts really need an upgrade as they're old and outdated ( some of them don't even have safety bars 😟.) Also they... More

Fantastic week skiing here, views are magic from the top. Excellent snow. Not much in the way of crowds. Ski school was good too. Only negative is that they close lifts a lot with wind, and there is only 1 gondola - otherwise you are exposed to the elements.

I'm an intermediate to advanced skier and I like this mountain. However, I came here specifically to teach my gf how to ski. My idea was to get her going on the "bunny slopes" of the sakko beginner area and once she was comfortable, I would take a run or two myself while she practiced. We arrived on March 26... More

I wonder why so many international visitors go to Hokkaido when this area is handy to Tokyo. It is a nice resort to spend a few days and I would say appeals to intermediate skiiers? The resort may be a little old as they rely on Nagano Winter Olympics in 1998 so some of the lifts are a bit slow... More

Having many courses with a various level of difficulty, Happo-one is a nice place spend your vacation in winter. Different from some ski resort, it is closed to the village area of Hakuba. Resturants, hotels, even convenient store cluster around. To go to the ski resort, you just need to walk within 10 minutes from most hotels. After skiing, people... More

We had some pretty epic days on Happo this Feb. There is something for everyone on this mountain from mellow groomers to some truly amazing OOB areas. (I should say in the interest of safety, as with all mountains if you intend to go off piste, please educate yourself on the conditions and terrain and carry all of the appropriate... More

The line just to get onto the gondola was crazy and then to get back down (due to lack of snow). We went in peak season with not much snow cover. This made it slightly un-enjoyable. Not much for advanced skiers.

Japanese efficiency and comfort while skiing. Good trails, excellent conditions, not too crowded and very accessible. Try the cafeterias and have a baileys coffee.

Happo-One (pronounced O-nay) is a sight to behold! Breathtaking especially after a night of snow. Lots of cafes and bars throughout. At the top of Gondola Adam there is this main cafeteria with the best ramen I have ever tried called Cha-cha. Also the hot chocolate at the Go-pro cafe is a pretty great reason to stop to warm up....
