As expected, there was not a heap of snow that had fallen when we got there but we were still able to have a fun time with lovely groomed runs. There was not much available for tree skiing or skiing through the gates as they were having a very late start to the season. Goryu & Hakuba 47 was our... More

What a surprise powder up top sunshine. Many of the lifts are older style doubles but a nice gondola takes you up to alps 360 area. Many of the runs are short but when combined with Hakuba 47 you can do some long trips to the line 8 gondola. Many beginners. Not a lot of advanced terrain. Over all good.

Very gentle beginner slopes at the bottom; there is a children's and "first timers" area too. A large center at the bottom caters for cafes, restaurants, ski hire and ticket sales. A few restaurants along the side of the lower runs also caters for lunchtime.

Happo is the place to start but goryu has its own charms for a day or 2. 3 different start /pickup spots (which can be a bit confusing for those not in the know!). Solid intermediate runs, green runs lower down tend to be a bit choppy, possibly contributed to by the constant stacks of beginner locals! Thoroughly recommend the... More

I was in the fresh powder at Happo47 on the day my daughters went to Happo Goryu. (Read my report on that mountain) My daughters went to Happo Goryu to have a powder lesson on their snowboards and had the best time ever!

We really enjoyed skiing here, some great intermediate and black runs, so the whole group could get their jollies.
