The parking is a little bit of a hassle, but I parked just past the location to the left where there was a big open parking lot and walked up. You pay for entry at a little omiyage-type shop (huge pond with koi right outside,...More

Very small historical home and well worth visiting. Remember to remove your shoes once you enter the home. The signs requesting this are very small. The staff is great and we enjoyed the free tea and brown sugar candy after our walkthrough.

No much to see, only an old house of a rich farmer, in very good shape. The best, I guess, was getting free tea and brown sugar jelly on the gift shop, such nice people!

I just loved this old building full of history! We were told the tour will cost 500¥and wouldn't take more than 20min. Well, we were there for more than 30 minutes and loved everything.
