We hike here with our three young children. It was a gorgeous hike and we enjoyed the statues, wishing wells and canyoneerors. We would definitely recommend and the onsen down below the bottom waterfall.

We came to see the Kawazu sakura festival and on the same day did this hike. It was very refreshing and not too hard to walk. Make sure you get off the bus at Mizutare so you do the trail downhill and not uphill.

Beautiful waterfalls. Walk along paved path and up and down various steps and over a few bridges. Easy access from main road.

Other than 1 waterfall that was blocked off, one can view 6 waterfalls by walking over the well maintained pathways. Good for gentle hiking with friends or family or as a couple. The pathway actually continue upwards to Amagi Waterfall area.

Beautiful! It literally took my breath away staying here, such an authentic location. It is definitely one of the most beautiful places I've ever visited and experienced. I loved relaxing in the hot spring and feeling the cold spray of the waterfall.

The falls are lovely. You get to them by walking on a well-marked path. There’s no charge to enter. There are no intrusive signs or annoying gift shops. What is annoying is the large number of camera-people with tripods, clustered about each of the falls....More

I've lived in Japan for over two years and have been fortunate to visit many natural and cultural sites from Hokkaido down to Nara, but this is my favorite place. It's mostly paved with a few large stair and bridge sections following a beautiful stream/...More
