Traditional Japanese candles are unique in that they are handmade and the wax comes from a plant, not paraffin. This shop lets you see them being made and you can buy them - they're not cheap, so maybe get a small pack of four.

Live demo of how to make candle in Japan. Trust me, they are not ordinary - they are hard to be blown off and no excessive wax dripping on the side. They are brighter as the core is made by special material. Don't use them...More
