A beautiful place in Yakushima, easily accessible by car. No need to walk for hours. And don't forget to get to the little table hidden at the entrance, at the top of a small path, if you want to have a lunch in front of the waterfall and the sea.

We only paid a brief visit here as it was getting dark, but still impressive and not too far to walk from the car park

We expected a waterfall. We never expected there would be several massive falls on many levels. Spread over the edge of a single ravine, you can walk a paved road to seveal viewpoints. We were on a tour bus but you can take a taxi or local bus. Also, take an umbrella.

We had to make two visits to see this waterfall. The first day, we couldn't see anything because of thick fog. Next day, we made an effort to go back there as someone told us we shouldn't miss it. It was worth going back. An interesting contrast between the waterfall and the rock surface.

遠くから見える滝です。滝の横に巨大な一枚岩がありました。すごい自然のエネルギーを感じて、しばらく見ていたいと思いました。 This is a waterfall that you can see from far away. There is a huge rock on the side. You can really feel the force of nature here and I felt like I wanted to watch it for a long time.

Simple walk worth it to go on. About 20 minute drive from JR Hotel and 5 minute walk. Nice store nearby for refreshments and souvenirs.

This beautiful fall can be viewed from a distance. A good camera will be able to take all the stunning close up scenic views.

Had the overlook to ourselves later in the day around 4:30pm. English sign along the highway directed us take the turn off the highway, but our GPS was amazing and got us the rest of the way there. Definitely worth a quick stop & picture.

The area was packed and took awhile to get a good picture. The view is great but be sure to go on a clear day as when it is cloudy you miss out on a lot of the view.
