If you're remotely interested in sea turtles this is the place you can't miss. We stayed there for three nights at Marine Blue Yakushima Hotel - which was the greatest hotel! When the sea is calm, the beach is great for swimming - when it's...More

A very beautiful beach where sea turtles will come at night to nest and hatch. During the daytime it is very very hot and sunny and the water so crystal blue.

I was there during the season turtles lay eggs. Local people are trying hard to maintain the population of turtles and run turtle viewing sessions so that tourists won't disturb turtles laying eggs, which means that you cannot just go and look at them by...More

This was a nice beach but there really isn't much to see, just average. You will probably notice a shrine in a cave which was pretty cool.

I visited the beach with my guide (from Yakushima Experience). In winter there is not much to see here, but we enjoyed a nice walk in the rain along the sandy beach. In summer, this is the best place to watch sea turtles lay eggs!

We arrived just in time for the sunset. Lovely white sanded beach. Although we didn't swim in the ocean, we enjoyed the sunset and tranquility of the beach.
