A dream if you are into medieval things. We saw it while on our way to Córdoba and made a right turn. Drove all the way up to the entrance and were embraced by history. For a mere €7,- you step into a time machine into history. One of the best on my list!!

We have seen seen many castles in Spain but one like this with its full history in film is fantastic. We enjoyed it very much. The view around the castle is stunning as well.

Tourists may take a guided tour inside the castle, walking through the parade ground, the walls, the house-palace, the chapel, the library, the dungeons or the imposing towers. A fee is payable on admittance.

Marvelously located castle on a steep hill offers spectacular views over the area, the visit guides along the walls and towers - reserve 2 hours for the visit. Highly recommended!

We have visited this castle several times over the years and loved it each time. One day we want to be in the medieval meal that they serve. A fun visit and you feel like you are not a typical tourist in Spain.

After the tourist traps of Cordoba, with its queues to visit the sites, this is a wonderful change, a lovely peaceful place, stunning views and a well kept and presented castle. A fascinating story surrounds the castle and it is well worth the entry fee. My 8 year old son had a great time, and was fascinated by all the... More

Overall, the castle is very well kept and pretty, with different areas to explore and great views over the countryside. However, the €7 entry is steep for what is offered. The bar was closed - bear in mind in August you need a good sit down in the unbearable heat (40 plus) and the snack machine was out of order.... More

This is an amazing castle, not crowded at all, even in full season. We were practically alone in the whole castle, although it looked way better than other, very mainstream, fortresses. Very nice views from the top of the towers. It actually looks like a fully functional castle because of very inspired renovations by its owners (you don't actually notice... More

Amazing views. Lots of detail and historical commentary inside. There is parking at the top probably for 25 cars and there is a large car park at the bottom. Entry was 7 euros for adults. Worth a visit if you are staying in or near Cordoba.
