Came after the cliff walk late in the afternoon good place to try some of the craft beers. Super friendly staff happy to chat about the different beers. They where still cleaning up after their October festival some 1500 people on the previous weekend. Good if you are on your way to New Plymouth as it is about 30 km... More

We stopped in here on a drive up the Coast to Awakino. It was a gorgeous sunny day and we enjoyed a refreshing beverage on the deck outside. The young man who served us was very friendly but had just started work a couple of days earlier so had a little to learn about the products he was serving. All... More

On a recent trip to Taranaki a friend mentioned he had been to Mike's Organic Brewery and being beer lovers we decided it was a must on our places to visit. In beautiful surrounds we discovered a great range of beers, so finding one to suit our differing tastes guaranteed and we got to try before we 'buyed'. The guy... More

Stopped in for a quick look on the way home from visiting and family and popped on for a quick drink, the sample rack is excellent and really gives you the chance to taste a bit of everything. We didn't get food but what we saw coming out of the kitchen looked very appetising. I absolutely feel in love with... More

We stopped here late Sunday afternoon. There was some great live music playing. We had a bite to eat and a few beers. The food was good and there is a great range of well crafted beers on offer. We also took advantage of the free campervan parking there and spent a nice quiet night here.

visited on the way out of New plymouth after being exposed to Mike's at Social Kitchen the night before. I think they had 8 beers to sample or buy. I was driving and the bar tender gave me 4 small shots to taste. They were all very good, as were the 2 we had the night before. Nice cafe. Would... More

Mike's is about 20 minutes north of New Plymouth and well worth a visit. Multiple beers are brewed on site along with an excellent cider. Housed in a heritage building moved from Hawera Mike's offers an excellent menu and a large covered deck for outdoor eating . The food was great as was the visit from the gorgeous brewery cat... Dropped in for a quick coffee and muffin. Lovely cafe and outdoor area. Have a friendly cat and dog which was cute. Not sure I would be back though.

We travel past a few times a year, and have called into this place twice. You can sit down for a meal and enjoy one of the many different beers brewed on site.

My husband was in a car with 3 woman (including (me) wife and mother-in-law), so we felt we needed to stop and let him have some time out. Venue is just lovely, beautiful heritage building, huge outdoor covered and uncovered area, and then there are the beers. Tasting tray of 8 beers for a really reasonable $15 included a large...
