Beautiful trail but some areas need better marking

The views of Georgian Bay are amazing. The trail is challenging in parts but it is only 3.5 km. so easily done in a couple of hours.

Excellent Walk

Not too difficult but rocks to scramble over. Might be more challenging when wet. Lovely scenery and superb for photography.

The best

As two late 60’s occasional hikers we were challenged by this rocky trail but never felt uncomfortable. The fact that every view was more stunning than the last was all the encouragement we needed. We were happy to have serious hiking boots however and glad we carried polls for part of it. Make sure you have drinking water and a snack for the midway point was helpful. Looking very forward to a return visit!

Short option to see beautiful places!
Aug. 2020
This is one of the short trails that you actually will see lots of beautiful spots. An easy walk from rock to rock with nice views of Georgian Bay. Well marked too.

Perfect hike for everyone
Jul. 2020
This 3.5 km each way trail is relatively easy, very scenic (Group of Seven landscapes) and takes only a few hours—longer if you want to swim, take photos or have a picnic on the rocks overlooking the water. No bugs, lots of variety and nothing too difficult (a few steep rock ledges to climb up and down but can be done in running shoes ). It’s a loop and takes a bit of searching to find trail markers/blazes (in red and white paint). Get your parking pass first —across highway at Lake George entrance —$15 for the day. Parking can be limited but we left vehicle on side of road and staff checking permits said it was ok. Fun to see families heading out on kayaks and canoes on creek at trail entrance. Definitely a highlight of our stay in Killarney.
