Sailing Carefully
Aug. 2019
We sailed in a 45 ft sailboat, but did not risk it to sail all the way to the Pool. I have to say the sail from little current to the Baie Fine was excellent.
Then we went to see the pool in our dingy but it is a long way in and the motor boats going fast can make big waves, which we realized after we started. Luckily we had only one boat that raced around us, and the others were very careful not to cause us to dump, so we got to the Pool. Pool is nice, I wish we could stay overnight. We could not do the walking up to the other lake, and experience an overnight stay there. it is very isolated. There is no reception for mobile phones there, you are in the nature and you have to go with supplies, since there is nothing close by. We enjoyed the sail up and down, must be very aware of the rocks under the water, navigation and a working plotter /dept meter helps, and make sure you are aware of which side of the bueys to be.
Another beauty of the great land we live in called Canada! we loved the trip.

Less dramatic and awe inspiring than expected...

Less dramatic and awe inspiring than expected...we expected something out of Norway from everything we read. Not so much. Some ok vistas...some really swampy bits.

Must Go!
Jul. 2017
Great side bar adventure while cruising the North Channel. Entrance about 45 minutes or so from Killarney.
Beautiful views of the mountains and shoreline. Go hiking to the crater lakes and mountain top when you get down to "The Pool". Weren't many boats anchored so made things more natural.

Natural beauty

We took a boat tour from Killarney Mountain Lodge, stopped for a fish fry half way up, also made a stop at Topaz Lake, which was gorgeous. Highly recommended.

A super way to experience the La Cloche Mountains!!
Sep. 2015
We did the Baie Fine motor cruise from Killarney Mountain Lodge . A super day on the water!! "Bungy" the captain , was wonderful. He had extensive knowledge of the area and its history. A highlite is the hike to Topaz Lake at the end of Baie Fine ( in the Pool). The Baie offers one a great glimpse of the white Quartzite making up the La Cloche mountains. Bungy was happy to offer numerous side trips on the way out to the Baie and back ... a fantastic day .. well worth any costs.

Stunning
Aug. 2014 • Friends
Have been in and out of Baie Fine many times . Only accessible by boat, float plane or over mountain trails.

Absolutely gorgeous at anchorage unless the Baie is filled with anchored boats, than the under water growth can take over.

Best time to visit is before July 1st and after 3rd week of August.

Beautiful place!

Baie Finn was a great daytrip from Little Current. From the Harbor Vue Marina it's about 11 miles to the entrance to the fjord and 7 miles on in to the Pool, a spectacular anchorage!

Beatiful place - with peaceful anchorage in the Pool and Topaz lake

We had a great time. Navigation up the fjord has to be careful but no big deal. Found a nice quiet anchorage in the back of the pool only 3 other boats on a Saturday night in August. Good holding and plenty of water. Easy to dinghy and walk up to Topaz lake.

Great views....

Great views from the water as you sail up the fjord. These are some nice anchorages to spend a night or two in.
