Such a beautiful spot to watch sunset. It is a short hike from the main street in Kilarnery. Very peaceful and serene.

Pretty setting

We were staying in Sudbury and looking for something to do. Since we enjoy lighthouses, we drove the hour and 15 minutes, each way, to visit this one. It's a small, so-so lighthouse, in a pretty setting. However, it wasn't really worth the long drive from Sudbury. If you're near Killarney, definitely stop to see the lighthouse. I don't recommend driving any distance to visit.

Nice location, spectacular scenic view

I was back at the lighthouse and I enjoyed the spectacular view, as ever. It is a must do in Killarney, especially on sunny days the colours are amazing. Just love it!

A visit into the past
Oct. 2015 • Couples
Just arriving in Killarney you think you've stepped into the past. Visit in the fall and it's quiet, colourful and inviting. The tourists have gone. Most of the resorts are closed after Canadian Thanksgiving. A walk to the lighthouse is always in order. Great, wind swept scenery is what you'll find. It's an easy walk for all.

A wonderful" short day" hike
Sep. 2015 • Family
I was staying at Killarney Mountain Lodge ... and the hike began from here. An easy ( 1/2 to 3/4 hr.) hike to a very fantastic view of the Lighthouse and of this section of Georgian Bay!!!!

For those who cannot walk , one can drive to this wonderful view. For those who wish to have a longer hike , the " Tar Vats" hike is a great extension!!

Killarney Park has many trails with various levels of difficulty.Great place for hikers.

We hiked the trail from Killarney to the lighthouse and enjoyed the day. It wasn't too difficult and the rocky coastal part was quite scenic. The Lodge packed lunches for us which we ate at the lighthouse before the return hike. Beautiful spot.

Worth the trail hike!

You can pick up the trail to get to this lighthouse from the Mountain Lodge in town.
The first 500 m are through some bush that has a resident population of hungry mosquitoes so bring your bug spray!
Once you get to the coast, the breeze cuts the bugs and the rest of the hike is beautiful! Rugged Georgian Bay coast with great swimming and rock hunting for kids.
