First time to this theatre & thoroughly enjoyed the New Canadian Curler show. Mark Crawford is an awesome playwright & we've seen all his productions. Very funny and very realistic - truly a Canadian perspective! The sight lines were good & seats were comfortable. Volunteers...More

New Canadian Curling Club was our first experience of the Blyth Festival. Dialogue was maybe a little too blue to have the desired effect after a while but the play was well acted and very funny. Theatre has comfortable seating and sufficient leg room to...More

Over the years we have seen a number of new Canadian plays at the Blyth Festival, and as we were in the area in late August we decided to catch “The New Canadian Curling Club” before it closed. It is quite delightful, with an excellent...More

We booked tickets for The Boot not knowing what to expect. The building was impressive and we actually sat in the front row, which was a bit too close to the stage. The play and actors were great. We all enjoyed ourselves and would definitely...More

We're glad you took a chance on that play and enjoyed it. This play has been getting great feedback for its appeal to pretty much anyone who has ever been to a bar. We look forward to seeing you again.

It was a lovely afternoon theatre experience. Do not expect a big city version of any play, but rather enjoy the small town version. It is quite refreshing to see a play that centres on lives in the rural community. One comes to appreciate the...More

Thank you for these kind words. We're very proud of this building, which was originally built by the community to commemorate the loss of Blyth area soldiers in World War I. The community rallied again and renovated the building in 2017.

I saw the New Canadian Curling show and it was really quite funny. The topic was controversial and the jokes were as well but there was nothing over the top or unacceptable/rude. What was even more funny is that the audience was all (or almost...More
