Beautiful stained glass

What a beautiful place - the stained glass windows are breathtaking, such vivid colours. Plenty of information about the place tells the history - a great sense of peace as well.

This place is interesting if you are looking for something to do. Otherwise, there are prettier cathedrals in Scotland.

We arrived at this Church of Scotland Church whilst a Service was taking place in a side Chapel. A fairly blunt notice on the main doors required 'tourists' not to enter during the Service - no indication of when it started or might finish was offered on this notice and it was stark and very unwelcoming. We walked around the... More

WexwentvtomBrechin for the football and having time to spare explored the town. I then discovered the cathedral down quiet lane. An amazing building and so old and full of history. And the round tower at the back is unique. I sat on a bench and enjoyed the peace

A very small, nearly as small as some village churches, Cathedral with an attached rare ancient round tower, which is not accessible internally. There is some lovely recent stained glass and there are history panels to explain the Cathedrals development from Pictish origins. Has to be the first Cathedral I have ever visited which had no other people in it... More

We visited here in June 2016. We walked through the town and found a track that went alongside a small stream and into the cemetery beside the Cathedral. The Round Tower on one corner of the building was interesting but if you have been to plenty of other cathedrals (which we have) this one did seem a bit dark and... More

Situated on the slope of Brechin, this magnificent old cathedral makes the small town a CITY!! It is surrounded by a small cemetery containing many old headstones. It has apparently been a christian place of worship for at least 1500 years. The Cathedral it selves is attractive and relatively small. It has obviously been added to over its long existence.... The cathedral is absolutely stunning from the grounds to the lovely stained glass windows. We attended a wedding there and it was a real pleasure
