Mudeford Quay is a small beautiful corner of the Borough of Christchurch in Dorset, England. Situated at the entrance of Christchurch Harbour, Mudeford Quay benefits from spectacular views along the coast, over to the Needles on the Isle of Wight & back to Christchurch town. Mudeford Quay is made up of two areas, the Quay itself and Mudeford Spit, a natural sandbank which leads to Hengisbury Head all the way to Boscombe & Bournemouth. The Quay is a hub of activity with beautiful beaches, the lush grassed area ideal for picnics and enjoying the beautiful scenery and the Quayside itself which has a small shops, a pub, a fish stall and plenty of vantage points to watch the world go by.

Lovely place to spend some time either watching the small sailing boats or the comings and goings on the harbour. There is paid parking and food and drink outlets

Lovely beach for playing or walking or crabbing. There is parking, cafe and restaurant . Lovely place with stunning views.

Great for crabbing and fishing. Fun for all the family. Easy to park. Good pub and restaurant/cafe? You can catch the ferry across to Mudeford Spit and Hengisbury Head.

I love waking from Avon beach up to mudeford quay as I live close enough it is really beautiful I used to love walking my dogs when I had them there as well on there leads even in the winter

Almost any state of the tide, although it's nor easy for youngsters when the tide is rushing in or out, at about halfway between high or low tides

Hi, is Mudeford Quay dog friendly? We have two small well behaved dogs and are visiting the area at the end of September.

Hello, dogs should be kept on leads at Mudeford Quay. If you walk a long to Avon Beach and further to Highcliffe Beaches you have plenty of dog friendly beaches, just follow the advise on the signs for which beaches are dog... More
