We found the tourist information center after alighting from the bus from Lugano. The lady was helpful in telling us the attractions to visit in our limited time in the town. Morcote is more Italian than Swiss. Pictureresque is the best word to describe it....More

In my opinion it is highly overrated place.... Few nice buildings, but nothing special. Could be visited as a part of other attraction in the area

A good idea is to reach Morcote by public boat. Expensive but very romantic.The same goes for public bus from Lugano. Parking in tourist season is almost impossible.Then in Morcote you may rent a bike , visit the Torre del Capitano, one of the oldest...More
