We were visiting a friend that lives in Rolle. We took a nice afternoon walk by the lake and around the castle. We saw the small island and there was someone playing the trumpet on the island, so that was a née touch.

This fine-looking chateau sits serenely on the shore of Lac Leman - queening it over its glorious surroundings. Didn't ghet toe go inside but was fascinated by the long-drop loo. Go see it for yourself.

Lovely spot along the shores of Lake Geneva - less frenetic than Nyon. You can park for free next to the castle and walk along the shore, past the latrine tower, colourfully described on multi lingual interpretation boards! There are also guides to the birdlife...More
