As I live in Leigh it is easy to visit Old Leigh, have lunch at the amazing Sarahs Tea Garden, a browse round Lynn Taits gallery and watch the cockle boats unload their catch.

Lovely place, lots to see Fish and shellfish exceptional. Worth the trip just to get your fish, but nice pubs and Cafes. Quirky shops and gallery's to look around. Nice beach at the bar end

I can't help it, I love a visit to Old Leigh. But I wish there was less rubbish lying around. People of Essex, clear up your s***t and take it home with you!

Out of the way nice little spot away from the crowded sprawl of Southend. Only a few miles but miles apart in comparison. Probably unknown to most who stay at the bigger neighbour but worth a visit . Found it whilst visiting Undercliffe Gardens.
