It’s well worth the walk up to the Nydri waterfall. The walk from the parking area takes about 15/20 minutes. The path has been washed away in places but is still easy to follow, though some of the steps are quite steep so need to take care not to lose footing and slip in places. Thanks to the recent rainfall there was plenty of water both in the falls themselves and the pool below. We swam in the pool and it was FREEZING! The sun hits the water mid to late morning so that’s the time to go.

The hiking from the road to the waterfalls is between 15-20 minutes. The trail is graphic with meny trees and photoworth places. The waterfalls are not as full with water as in most pictures, still you can go into the water and relax on the white rocks. It is a place woth visiting and spending a morning before hitting the beach.

Lovely walk of about 15 minutes - not difficult but would be no good with a push chair or wheel chair.

We have visited the waterfall in the height of summer before and found only a trickle. After a September storm and torrential rain we decided to go again. The path was under water in places so we could have chosen more practical footwear but the short walk was worth it to see the waterfall which was impressive.

The falls aren’t the most dramatic of features but definitely worth the walk and if you’re feeling brave, the swim. And the cafe is 100% worth having a drink and an ice cream at on the way back. Very nice.
