The alpacas - especially the young ones - are extremely cute. You can buy some food and hand feed them and if you book in advance you can take an alpaca for a walk. The shop is small but has some wonderful items all made from their own alpaca wool. Some of the items even identify which alpaca the wool... More

The farm is just from the main road, and it's a great little stop when passing by. It was hard to miss because some of the alpacas are in the paddock by the road. We fed the alpacas and patted them. The host knows a lot about the alpacas, so it was a very informative visit. There is also a... More

Happened upon this place driving past. The shop is reasonably priced with nice alpaca wool goods, but the star of the attractions are the woolly ones themselves! For a small fee you can meet the baby alpacas, the host is very informative and in no time at all we felt like part of the alpacas family! Our 1 1/2 year... More

As a lifestyle block owner in rural NZ, Ive been interested in owning my own Alpacas for some time. I was so excited to see the Nevalea sign (quite by chance) on the highway and decided to stop by. I'm so glad we did! We were able to meet and feed young Alpacas and my 6 year old was given... More

Noticed this farm otw frm whakapapa to auckland. Stopped by for a quick pix at the farm after seeing the signboard by the roadside. Oh my! Best 10 dollars I've spent all week! For 10 dollars, u get to feed and meet the adult and baby alpacas, maybe after 100 of them, I'd say for abt 30 mins or so.... More

We stopped here is shockingly wet and cold weather, only people there, far exceeded expectations, really enjoyed feeding the very keen alpacas and the baby was so cute. Learnt a lot about alpacas too, nice scarves and knitwear at the little shop.

Like to pet some overly friendly alpacas? Like to feed em at $10 a pop? Maybe not so much. Friendly farmer to show you around. Lots and lots of Alpacas! Small ones. Big ones. Brown ones. Black or white. At first they are shy. But once you shake your cup of treats they come flocking. They eat right off your... More
