Always a great picturesque place to go for a stroll with its array of historic buildings bars and restaurants ice cream and fabulous fish and chip shop. Fabulous views to wLes and wonderful wildlife a beautiful place

Visited here for the very first time today with my partner and our best friend. What a beautiful and fantastic place Parkgate is! Stunning scenery with the views across the Dee and over to North Wales. Gorgeous architecture. Very friendly locals. We ate at The Old Quay carvery, busy place but comfy and fab food and drink! We tried to go for a walk and got bogged down so had to turn back. They could do with improving the tracks as they were pretty impassable without waking boots or wellies. There are no naturists here. The parking was terrible and the traffic too much for a narrow road. They need to get rid of all the silt... More

PARKGATE is an,old victorian sea port on the river DEE that now only has a full tide 3 times a year but it is an R S P B protected area of natural beauty IT is not suitable for car traffic and when busy on sunny days it's total gridlock ! Also the pavements only on the sea wall side... More

been here four times now. fabulous, warm and friendly pub. staff are friendly and very obliging. food is divine and freshly cooked. try the steak baguette.....beautiful. lovely atmosphere and the chef a real lovely character. great views from window seats or sit in front of the warm log fire. follow it up with lovely walk along the front. don't pass... Pleasant walk looking across to Wales. Plenty of cafes and ice cream places. It's just a lovely walk.

I used to live nearby and could never see the attraction of this place. But on a Sunday visit, it was just beautiful with the Christmas lights and tree, fantastic fish & chips and ice cream, and the most amazing red sunset I've ever witnessed. Parking and traffic can be a bit of a pain though.

Parkgate has been a favourite for many years and we were blessed with a pleasant but cool Autumnal day. Parking is much easier at this time of year and the view across the estuary looking over to Deeside and North Wales was clear.
