My wife and I enjoyed this zoo tremendously. Very nice grounds, big, clean enclosures and a nice combination of the historic ruins with modern animal husbandry. The mix of botanical garden, zoo and industrial museum works very well and is worth a visit.

If you are a fan of zoos, this is a must-see zoo in Martinique. The exhibits are beautiful and the grounds throughout the zoo are amazing. The zoo is built on a former plantation and the ruins still remain and are incorporated into the zoo habitats and grounds. The zoo features many different species of animals, birds and reptiles. The... More

Very nice place. Historic surroundings. Saw most of the animals. Just a few were out if sight. A must see for parents with young kids.

I really wasn't expecting much but was so impressed. Obviously, most of the animals are not native to the island but I was nicely surprised that they were able to acquire some really exotic animals. And plus, they even made even average raccoons look so cute!!! I also enjoyed walking the grounds of the zoo. They planned it out really... More

The zoo on Martinique is not the biggest. But it is beautiful and there are many animals. I recommend you to buy some food for the animals (around 1€), as you can feed the racoons and another animal (but I forgot the name of it). The zoo has a path you will follow around. At certain points you can learn... More

If you are into old plantations then this is a must for your itinerary. A zoo moulded into old plantation ruins that would be a tourist attraction on its own right. The zoo gives a nice overview of the Island and the surrounding fauna, but despite the small number of animals the tour itself is quite long still as it... More

Our kids enjoyed the boardwalk and the animals. Beside the animals there is a nice garden. Incredibly how long they need to sell a ticket at the entry (it takes 20 minutes for 3 families to let in).

Also you can enter at one point in the perret cage as they fly arround you. They have a on site restaurant also, but... More

This zoo is quite beautiful - I love the fact that it is built on the ruins of a former sugar plantation. The designers utilized the ruins imaginatively, such that in certain areas, the animals are actually in and around the ruins themselves - very cool! The grounds are lovely. But though I know that almost nothing in the Caribbean... More

We were visiting the Zoo, it's not big but nice. You can feed animals. Recommend 2h visit. It has a buffet inside.
