Amazing rock formations that lead your imagination runs wild. Incredible to know that this was once a sea floor. Blown away by nature's work of art. The 1500 meter boat journey was worth the long journey from Guangzhou. Best to book a tour as getting here is tricky...

I was working in Lianzhou and my hosts took me to the caves after work one day. It had been very hot so it was lovely to get up into the mountains and into the cool caves. The boat trip was stunning and we almost had the place to ourselves. Beautiful and very natural attraction

A month ago I went to the Dragon Palace cave in Guizhou in China. I thought that was fantastic. But the Qingyuan Lianzhou Underground River really took my breath away! The underground caves are a sight to behold. The colors are amazing and you get a wonderful view of all the cave formations throughout. The caves cover a rather vast area so be prepared to walk and to take an extensive number of stairs. At the end of the tour you get an opportunity to ride down the river and... More
