Returned yesterday from Kasauli with an unfulifilled wish to see this fort. Went till Solan, asked many locals, old and young. Trust me they have no idea about 'any' fort there. Came back with a drive to remember...

The fort was constructed in the early 19 th century by Gorkha's,who wished to hold firm position in the region.The fort still houses more than 180 years old cannons that were used during the Gorkha wars.

As others have written, it is really a mystery on hills. I went twice to Kasauli but could not find it. Leave alone tourists, I bet even locals go there. Would suggest not to try and find this place. Sheer waste of time.

Distance from Khandaghat to kasauli is 45KM approx and by road it will take you more than one hour to reach. Roads are good and not much traffic. Enjoy your visit. Wish you pleasant journey.
