This is the lake amid the deep forest, you can have the clear view from ganesh temple at the top. Although difficult to reach but worth visit.

Make sure you do the early morning or the late evening trip. It gets cold here at that time so watch out. The lake is an amazing place to sight birds!!

Tiger is the main attraction of Sawai Madhopur located in the forest and ravines of the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve and National Park. If you are lucky and you sight Tigers in each of your safari and it became a repetitive feat, and you long for a change, ensure you either visit (a) the National Chambal Santuary for seeing the Gharials... Surwal Lake offers an excellent alternative to somewhat touristy Ranthambhore Park safaris and recommended specifically for Bird watchers and Bird Photographers.

We spent several hours at the lake, which was behind a large dam. The variety of birds and other wild life was amazing so it is worthwhile to make this lake one of the excursions while at SM. Everything from hornbills to eagles, both land and water birds were viewed
