Have always enjoyed our visits here. I wish they offered food items for purchase. They use to waive the tasting cost if you purchased wine, but that is no longer. I get it, but they need to make the tasting a bit better if they are going to charge. Get real glasses instead of plastic that they use for all wines. Chairs that are comfortable and you can sit with knees under the table. We visited frequently, but will rethink long drive out now. Sadly.

The Bear River Vineyard is located in a beautiful area of the community, and the view over the vineyard is gorgeous. We were thrilled to learn about the history of wines in the location (dating to 1611), and also how Bear River obtained its name (it's the anglicisation of Riviere Hebert named after Louis Hebert (pronounced e-bear) who located Bear River. We tried several wines, and appreciated the explanation of what the winery produced and sold.

We enjoyed our short visit to this local winery, the location is perfect, you can walk the vineyard, enjoy the shade in comfy Adirondacks, take a tour of the converted dairy barn, all without cost. We skipped the tasting opportunity (time crunch on our part) and went right to the purchasing phase. Pinot is excellent, Red will be a gift so I can't offer an opinion just yet. I'm unfamiliar with the tasting cost and surroundings so can't comment. Well worth a visit.

A peaceful stay surrounded by beauty. Darren and Susan are a hard-working couple who appreciate the history of their community and vineyard. Comfortable accommodation, a wine tasting and a gorgeous sunset across the valley made for a perfect overnight stop. The cabin down by the river was a great place to enjoy the view and a bonus treat. The owners are eager for their guests to explore and enjoy the lovely grounds.

We stayed at their apartment for a “staycation” and loved it. Darren is a wonderful host and really knows the wines they produce. The wines are quite tasty and not expensive for the quality. #supportlocal.
The winery itself is in an old barn that has been converted and works on a gravity feed system, just like in olden times.
A worthwhile stop.

If you appreciate wine, scenery, quiet and great hospitality - this is the place. Darren does a great tour of the winery and vineyard, and Sue hosts the tasting. Be sure to try "Emboldened" (a great red) and "Greater Yellowlegs (ditto - white). We enjoyed a bottle outside after the tasting. The suite is fine for a restful sleep.
There is no restaurant within walking distance, so perhaps a picnic is in order.

Touring the local sites around Digby and came across this small winery in Bear River. Quaint location with friendly knowledgeable staff! Bought 2 reds at my visit and popped open the blended one today! Excellent wine! Highly recommend stopping here if you are in the area! Whites, Rosee’s and Reds all available for tastings!

We were cycling along towards the Bay of Fundy and stopped off here for a wine tasting…what a nice, unexpected surprise!
We were met by the owners and treated to a lovely tour, a very interesting history of the region, and a taste of the vineyard.
All three wines we had were extremely pleasant and this place is a must-see if you are in the area.

The building used to be an old barn converted to a winery. It's nicely decorated, charming, welcoming and the owners are knowledgeable and friendly. Definately a must visit if you're on a wine tour in this area.

We stopped in at this place, it looked interesting on line. Most of the wines were rather bitter and acidic. They would benefit from a professional winemaker. The owner told us that much of the vineyard has been removed due to disease. They rent out rooms in the barn for extra cash.
