I've a feeling we're not in Kansas any more

Ok, I rated the whole area with 5 points. This location is just about the small pool there. Sure the view there is great and amazing but - still - it's a pool of water :)

Wonderful location; very peaceful, rural but also completely alien. The climate is a bit of a challenge for those unaccustomed to the tropics - high humidity and fairly hot. I'd love to do a walking holiday here and I'd also like someone to explain why on earth they wear clothes here.

Nice - even in March. Too bad about the stupid multi-language tourist propaganda information blaring through the rice fields all day to almost 7pm. To access these rice fields you have to park your car in the designated area then pay a local and foreign tourist entrance fee. Then you hike up. If staying overnight make sure you pack a... More

My group of 30 and I trekked up the mountain to visit the rice terraces. What a terrific experience! Gorgeous views and the fog cleared for us to enjoy!

I walked up from Ping'an village and back via 5 Stars and the Moon vantage point. Dragon's backbone stunning and lived up to images I had seen elsewhere. Definitely the most impressive rice terraces I have seen anywhere in the world.

This is one of the 2 famous rice terrace areas in China. We went in winter so the rice is not growing but luckily they still flooded the Ping'an village rice terrace so that is the place to go in the winter. The rice terrace is an amazing sight and definintely worth the 1hour plus drive there from Guilin. They... More

Drove here from Guilin, which was quite a winding road, once we reached the bottom of the hill. Half way up, the car had to stop, so we walked the rest of the way. There were several places to stop and admire the view / take pictures, and, of course, rest! While December is not the best time to go... More

Longee rice terrace is basically rice fields on hills. It has a different view in different time of the year. It is better not to plan thia place in winter as there will be fog and view will not be clear. It is a full day activity to visit this place from Guilin North Station and around 2 hours of... More

We went on a drizzly day and the further we got up the mountain, the foggier it got! (we only had one full day to go). Unfortunately, we did not see much, but the drive was very scenic and it was a nice day overall. (I definitely recommend stopping to see the long hair ladies show on the way. Even... More
