Rock wont roll down

I first saw this in some history show on TV. I was fascinated to see it myself. Nobody knows how the rock is stable on the incline. Tick pushing the rock off your to-do list.

As you walk around Mahabalipuram, there are things that are in the guide books. This is one of them. A big rock that has not rolled down the hill.

It is a fun and exciting site to visit. It is amazing to see such a huge ball of a rock seated precariously at the top of a barren hill... as many people sat in its shadow, many were trying their luck in pushing the rock to see if it rolls down... a wonder of nature indeed

Its unique stone lying on the edge on hill slope. Everyone pushes it for enjoyment purpose. We also pushed and clicked few pics. It should bre visited in evening to avoid heat on sunny day. One among many monuments to visit in Mahabalipuram.

I fail to understand how is this structure is still standing. Had to go up lose and personal to get the whole feel. Sat under the shadows and rested.

First of its great fun, secondly once you see it you will be very very surprised i mean literally. The huge piece of stone is on the rock and the rock is very slippery. You cannot move freely on it as you will fall on it. You wont break anything but will be embarrassed. But how that huge rock remains... More

Very huge round shaped stone is hanged in a sloping stone surface. Must take a round of Krishna's butter ball. I was literally afraid to go near. Near to this place a huge grass field is there. One can relax under a tree.
