We went on the 1-day tour with Japanican of Mt Fuji, Mt Hakone and lake Ashi with lunch. We met the group at the bus station in Tokyo. The coach we rode in was newer and very comfortable. Yasushi was our guide and very entertaining and informative. We drove up to the 5th Station on Mt Fuji. As it was... More

The trip to the Mt. Fuji 5th Station, was an instant hit to my kids. The cold weather and the beautiful scenery contributed to a postcard-like ambience Japan is known for. The trip to Hakone, boat ride in Lake Ashi and cable car ride in the Komagatake ropeway were equally surreal and showcased the beauty of the country side. It... More

Even though we took the bus to the 5th Station on a cloudy day, we were glad we went. The summit of Fuji was in and out of the clouds. Sometimes we were in the clouds. So we took pictures as we could and visited the shops when it was highly cloudy. I'm sure it must be amazing on a... More

We took a day tour with Japan ICan tours, which is associated with the Japan Travel Bureau. The tour company under the program was Sunrise Tours. We were picked up at our hotel, unlike other consolidators that require you to go to some other gathering point in Tokyo. Our tour guide was Yasushi, who was informative and entertaining the entire... More

Mt Fuji often plays hide-and-seek. When it's rainy and overcast, don't bother going to 5th Station ; there will be no view and there's only some tourist shops. On the other hand, when clear and sunny, the viewing platform gives a splendid view of this Japanese icon.

I'm glad we went here! This is a very nice place. Great view of Mt. Fuji and other mountain range. There were still snowy bits on the place and it was still cold. You might want to bundle up when you come here. I enjoyed my stay in this place. Will definitely comeback and would recommend this to anyone who... More

A lovely View of the peak but there were only a few things to do. Nice place to take pictures. there is a hike going up the fuji peak but it was close during our time. Horseback riding is also there but we didnt take it since it would not be worth it we think. It was still cold during... More

The view of Mt Fuji summit was spectacular! We were with a tour group and would not have been able to navigate our way on our own. Our guide also showed us how to pray at the temple. The soft cream that we bought from the kiosk was also delicious despite the cold!

The highlight of my travel to Japan was the visit to this most-revered mountain volcano. I am thankful to Ryoko, our tour guide, who made us wonderfully comfortable during our visit to the 5th Station of Mount Fuji. This station is apparently the closest area to the snowcapped peak, and sometimes, not all tourists get there if there's too much... More
