As a rum drinker I was looking forward to this visit, unfortunately it was not harvest season so no rum was being produced which was a shame. However a very informative tour and tasting of 9 different rums made up for this.

Prices vary dramatically from 20 to 300 Euros. In my opinion, the rum is not very good compared to the Caribbean and Central America. If you really need a bottle, the Lazy Dodo is quite cheap and makes an okay souvenir. I... More
