I loved everything in Mauritius that I have seen so far but this seven coloured earth unfortunately did not make into my "special" list. It was rather interesting but it didn't make much of an impression. I was interested reading how the colours were formed...More

We love that there is always so much to do in Mauritius. This is not the most dramatic place to visit but very interesting overall. You can keep yourself busy for weeks just driving around to these kind of affordable sights. A car is always...More

Make a small detour to this interesting place. Interesting spectacle especially nearing the sunset times. You don't need much time for this. Gentle hike.

The seven coloured earth is truly beautiful and certainly a wonder. It would be even better if there was a guide to explain the reason for the different coloured sand

Of great interest to geologists the owners of this piece of land in the south of the island had to come up with ideas to attract a wider audience. It thus offers a giant zip slide, quad bikes and a tourist centre. Views though are...More

I mean... where you're around, you should see it. Don't expect a major experience. A few tired turtles surrounded with idiots with selfie sticks. Don't go unless it is sunny or face a major disappointment.

Good for a quick walk around and capturing some cool photos and seeing the tortoises.... Worth a quick stop if you are visiting the rum factory and waterfall but you won't need long there as there is not anything really to see bar the earth...More

Something that you're not seeing every day. Colourful experience, you cannot miss it if you visit Mauritius. And as a bonus you can see also some big turtles. Entrance: 175 MUR

It was something new for me.... The zipline and quad biking activities done in this area is really nice..... Try for 1.5km zipline the best one

Beautiful place and as the sun changes it's position the colour changes again. I can imagine that at the hight of season it would be silly and very hot but we had a lovely visit today and seeing the giant tortoise was an added treat.

We will be travelling from the Balaclava direction in a hire car. We do not know the area - is it easy to find? Is it well signposted?

Hi everyone! Is it better to reach this place (the chamarel region) from Le Morne or is it easily doable from Flic en flac? Also is it realistic to fit the following into a day: 7 coloured earth Chamarel waterfall Black River gorges walk and Curious Corner? I'll be driving a rented car and not staying at hotels with tours (or info) available so please do help!
