The Seven coloured Earths is nice to see as part of a day trip of the south of Mauritius. The sugar plantation it is set in is also beautiful. If you have time here you can hike and see really amazing waterfalls

The place is inmaculated clean. Only good light will help to see the different colors. Anyhow the way there is a lovely experience.

Yes, local taxis can take you there. Your resort / hotel will assist with the order of the taxi. They can be very expensive- remember to confirm the price before.
