This college was once a military college and family home. There are nice trails on the property for you to stroll and let the children burn off some energy.

You could spend hours wandering these beautiful gardens. The other-worldly Japanese garden and opulent rose garden were personal highlights.

We were unable to take tour of inside of Castle because of time. The grounds are beautiful trees shrubs flowers worth the time

James Dunsmuir's retirement estate, beautiful historic castle with 26 acre gardens. The Japanese garden was designed by the same designer who did the Japanese Garden in Butchart garden. It is a beautiful estate. About 9 miles from Victoria

There is a ferry from port Angeles I believe and there may be something right from Seattle called the clipper. Or drive north to Canada and take the ferry from Tswassen
