A beautiful well maintained castle overlooking the ocean. It’s part of the royal roads university now. A nice variety of garden for a stroll- the Japanese garden is a must see. A good place to visit and it’s free( other than pay parking).

A very picturesque location on Vancouver Island on the outskirts of Victoria. The run tours here but double check the times as sometimes they close for private functions

My third one-day visit to Victoria, and had managed to cover most of the main attractions around from the first 2 times, and did pretty good. This time I researched more and found this place a bit out of the area but seems interesting. So...More

This college was once a military college and family home. There are nice trails on the property for you to stroll and let the children burn off some energy.

Visit the castle and gardens but don't bother to do the tour as it is a total rip off. Very disappointing to pay for a tour and you only see the ground floor. Oh and not all of the ground floor as it was booked...More

I took my family here because I had family that had gone to Royal Roads Military College. I also had heard about the gardens onsite and that it was one of the filming locations for the X-Men movies. We went through the Japanese gardens, the...More

You could spend hours wandering these beautiful gardens. The other-worldly Japanese garden and opulent rose garden were personal highlights.

Close to Victoria and a lovely drive and view. You can see the mountains in Washington across the straight. The castle was closed to the public the day we went due to filming a movie. However, the gardens were open for free that day. The...More

There is a ferry from port Angeles I believe and there may be something right from Seattle called the clipper. Or drive north to Canada and take the ferry from Tswassen
