international architecture

the neighborhood is well kept and although it is private you can easily walk around, people from all over the world visit Park Meerwijk including architects themselves

the neighborhood is well kept and although it is private you can easily walk around, people from all over the world visit Park Meerwijk including architects themselves

Bergen is a really pretty village set in the dunes close to beaches. Some good restaurants and more than enough shops for those seeking retail therapy. Beautifully lit at night and even more picturesque when under snow (not often). Old half-ruined church from 16th Century and lots of walks and bike paths make it interesting enough to visit. Bergen has interesting architecture from the"amsterdamse school" 1915-1918.The villa,s with tatched roofs fringe the woods and there are many walks to the nature reserve nearby. Eventually the woods thin out in the sandy dunes and the broad sandy beaches are reached. In the village centre older architecture is found like the "ruine-kerk"(first build around1500 and ruined 1545later rebuild) and a... More
