We took a Seatran ferry from Koh Tao to Koh Phangan on the 28th of October 2016. Someone of the Seatran staff judged it appropriate to throw a poor alive hen into a bag as small as a woman purse, and to tie a knot as to make sure it had no space to move. Not only do I find... More

We have taken the Seatran discovery 2 times now, the Somgserm ferry once and Lomprayah once. Seatran discovery is a smaller boat than the large Songserm ferry, but it is still large enough to cut through most waves instead of bouncing over them. However, Lomprayah is a smaller boat and when we made our journey in April, it was choppy... More

The view from the pier is breathtaking. Sensation of a paradise is ruined only by a lot of garbage covering the beach bellow and strong fish smell. The seatran itself is not too slow neither too fast. I didn't measure the speed with GPS, but it's about 20 knots(30-40 kmh) As this is a regular monohull(not a catamaran) and relatively... More

I booked our return trip from Koh Samui to Koh Pangan online prior to leaving Australia. I also booked the transfers on the website. Both our trips were on clam days so we had no issues. I did note the absence of any safety briefing. The staff were helpful with our luggage, although they didn't speak much, I assumed they... More

We travelled KohSamui-KohPhangan and viceversa. On the way to KP the travel was smooth and on time, it was a bigger boat as well On the way back, however, the boat was behind schedule 30 mins, they didnt bother to dock it properly. On of the hooks was docked but the other one was hold by one of their guides.... More

I was in samui for business a few days ago and had to rush to get back to a neighbouring island to get my kid from school, according to their website there was a boat in the afternoon, when we got their we where greeted by a very rude guy who just says ,no boat finish at 3 , when... More

I took VIP bus from Bangkok to Samui. It was using Raja ferry but has changed to Seatran ferry maybe one year ago. Seatran boat is bigger so the speed is slower than Lomprayah. It has biggest pier in Samui near big Budda, and location is very convenient to people who stay in Bophut. The pier has restaurant and... Why would you use a small boat ,with only about 40 people in capacity, to combat high waves in the middle of the sea for more than 5 hours? Our boat windows shattered by hitting into a pier bumper before the trip even started. While traveling, the small boat handled the waves during cloudy-rainy day POORLY. The boat rocked side... More

I live in Phuket and often drive via Donsak car ferry to Samui for work at short notice (Raja car ferry) Seatran Website: complicated, clumsy, extremely customer UNfriendly We showed up at 9am at the Donsak Seatran pier office and booked/paid a 3pm car berth. Then drove to Khanom for lunch. Returned to the ferry pier at 1.30pm, only to... More

Practically had carbon monoxide poisoning when using this company travelling from Donsak to Koh Tao. Smoke filled the upper deck the crew walked past coughing completely oblivious to the paying customers surrounded by smoke and did nothing to fix the situation. The crossing was also 2 hours longer than timetabled (5hrs total). Really rubbish service and they act as if... More
