About
Samui Football Golf is on the beach road 5 minutes from the Big Buddha and 10 minutes from the main resort town of Chaweng. This 18 hole footgolf course and botanical garden is a great activity for sports fans or the non-sporty among you as it combines a nice walk in nature together with a fun game for all. Every hole is landscaped with a different experience and the course twists and turns though the jungle setting giving many surprises and much variety as you play. The course is also home to over 350 species of tropical plants and is suitable for every ability. A round takes about 90 mins to complete depending on your group size and rest time at hole 11, where you receive a complimentary soft drink. If you make your own way there is no need to book. A full round and hotel transfers can be organized online, at your hotel reception or at any travel and tour shop on the island.

Honestly, we didn’t expect too much when the 8 of us came here for the first time, but we ended up playing this beautiful course 3 times in 4 days. Developed for football and nature enthusiasts this 18 hole themed course was definitely one of our kids highlights during our stay on Samui.
It’s a must do experience that shouldn’t be missed!!

Thanks for getting back with a review. Thrilled you mentioned the nature side too! We are fans of nature as much as we are sports fans and we are glad that showed. Exploring the jungle and getting into the palm groves is just as much apart of a Samui holiday as the beach bit so we hope to give that at our course. Good fun for everyone. Couples, families, bunch of friends.
Staff are super friendly from get go.
The course is really well planned out and each hold is dedicated to a world class player, bit about their history and their trademark.
Plenty of greenery so on a hot day like today, there is plenty of shade.
Halfway you can stop for a break and a soft drink. They also give you some home made sweets. Soo yummmm and unexpected.
Well worth the 15-20 mins to get here.

Thanks for the great review. Love the first point you made. Its good for everyone and even though a few wouldn't consider playing sport on holiday its actually more than a game. A beautiful botanical garden too and some tasty local treats if we're not too busy. Thanks again. Happy travels!!

Went to the football golf with my son and we really enjoyed a couple of hours there.
The field were very well maintained and the staff friendly.
Pick off service from our resort and back again.
Cold soft drinks included.

You can’t come to Samui without paying this place a visit. Staff are extremely welcoming and can’t do enough for you. The course is beautiful and extremely well maintained. Many thanks to Tom and the team!

Very fun game, field well prepared, staff very kind. On hole #11 you get a break with cold and perfumed face towel, and a drink of your choice.

Thanks for the visit and review. We're a great choice for some family fun together.
For the youngsters, we say play with half as much power as you think you need and play softly and calm rather than hard.
The putting will be easier then. Going for the hole like a goal can leave you in trouble in the bushes quite easily. It's a playable course for everyone but challenging too.
After 2 yrs of low maintenance, the course is getting some extra care at the moment and should look great for 2023 :) Thanks again!

We thought that Samui Football looked like fun until we arrived and saw the price. The price was 750 baht per adult and 375 a child, we were told our teenage daughter was an adult so at this point we decided we would just watch the children. We were then told it would take an hour and a half and if we were not going to play we would have to sit In the reception area, we were not allowed to accompany our children.
Sorry but this is where we decided to leave. As a parent I would have been happy to pay for my children, just because my husband and I chose not to participate you were not going to allow us to have the pleasure of watching and supervising our children.
Perhaps you could introduce a "spectators fee" that way you would still be making money because that is obviously what your business is all about and you might attract a few more people.
Overall I found you disappointing and unaccommodating I am sure you will have something to say about my review but of all the places I have ever taken my children to even if I didn't want to participate (and that is my choice) I have never been told I would have to sit in the foyer and not be able to watch nor supervise my children.

This was surprisingly more fun than I expected. They are relaxed and don’t mind if you bring beers. The 18 holes took us about 2 hours. You will need to bring bug repellant, bathe in it. I would definitely go again.

Visited as a family of four including a seven and four year old. Excellent day out and well worth the money. Would definitely do this again on another visit.

My partner and I played our first round yesterday and we were blown away..So much to say...Beautifully maintained, awesome guest service, from greeting and during the whole time. Chilled towels offered twice, and not the cheap thin ones in a plastic bag, but real scented face towels...they put your score on a key chain as a souvenir - Just a great experience!

Fun but expensive. It's small and over in 45 mins. Should get 36 holes for that price. Not really the fun and thrill seeking experience it reports to be!

Have to say, it is only possible to complete our course in 45 minutes if you’re playing by yourself and in a hurry. Just like in golf, a round needs to be played with friends or in footballgolf's case, with family or your partner too. If you play in groups of 2 to 5 then it will take much longer, usually about an hour and a half. If the weather is cool in the rainy season then a little less.
Hoping not to too sound rude but golf is definitely more of a social game above other sports and like sex it can be done on its own but it’s much better with other people. Half the fun in football golf sometimes is watching your friends struggle and kick the ball against the trees to end up with a double bogey. And by the same token it’s also great to cheer them on when they get a hole in one or a nice putt for a birdie.

No it only needs to be booked in advance when you need a hotel transfer to and from your hotel. Just 1 day in advance would be sufficient for this. Otherwise, if you are making your own way a reservation is not necessary. You will be able to play straight away on arrival.
