A great little etang with a beach, sports facilities and a little cafe bar (which wasn't open when we were there. I think there's fishing possible around the etang too, not in the same area as the swimming obviously.

We love this place. This is our third year of holidaying in the area and our third year of visiting Etang de Tamnies. It's a very simple experience - sand castling, swimming in the 'sea', picnic, basic - but nice - cafe. The water is...More

We paid €2 for each person over 5, which is fair. It's well looked after, toilets, cafe/bar (expensive) and other beachy activities. There was plenty of room when we got there at around 11, but it filled up. There wasn't a great deal of shade...More

We arrived here and thought "wow", beautiful lake, lots to do, kids loved it. Giant inflatable assault course went down a treat!

A good day for all one son and husband could fish older son and I sunbathed, swam and floated on tyres. Beach area got very busy in the afternoon. Topped off with all boys attacking the inflatables in the lake A good, inexpensive day out

A decent go at a seaside experience by a lake. Lake is clean (but looks murky) and is fine foe swimming. Gently shelving so fine for non swimmers to paddle too. The beach is nicely kept and surprisingly properly sandy beach in a white-ish crescent....More

It's impossible too have a pleasant and quiet experience in this lagoon. The artificial beach is very small for the amount of people that uses this space in a sunny day. Beach facilities are very basic, old and not well maintained.

This is a lake with sandy beach, sectioned off life-guarded area for swimming, with a smaller, shallow area for small children within the main swimming area. There is a volley ball net, outdoor table tennis table (a bit rough and bumpy), changing cubicles, toilets (quite...More

Just the place to unwind - eat, sleep, read, walk the ancient stones and have a stress-free stay. The staff were excellent, especially the dining-room girls, and a gentleman in reception had a great sense of humour.

A perfect way to let kids let off steam if you have been couped up in your house in the Dordogne. This resort offers a large lake which provides sheltered swimming and a pontoon for diving off. Lovely sandy 'beach' as well. Kayaks and fishing...More
