We had the opportunity to stop here on our recent Italy trip and we were not disappointed. It is not as large as the American cemetery in Normandy, but the impact is just as big. It mad us remember the sacrifices made in Italy were...More

Beautiful spot not far from the town. Set in the country, rows and rows of white crosses are on a hill in front of a building that names those who lost their life. There is huge relief map depicting the route the soldiers took. Both...More

Excellent place to feel the presence of our past. I have visited several of the American cemeteries over seas and this is a great choice. Take in the scenery and absorb some history. Makes me proud to be an American!

This was our third trip to the cemetery. We had discovered it by accident in 2004, took friends to it in 2012, and brought our adult children and their spouses to it May 23. For anyone with a sense of WW II history this is...More

The cemetery is very close to Florence (less than 10 miles). We had arranged a private tour and our tour guide made the stop on the way to the Chianti wineries. You could take a taxi or the bus.
