First visited over two years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it so felt we were long due another visit. With a 1.5 hour drive, on a Sunday morning with the intention of taking a late breakfast on arrival, it would be easy to be disappointed with such a big build up to getting here - but - as with our first... What a wonderful place , all the staff dressed in 50s clothing , vintage goods on sale , unusual gifts and great clothes . The cafe is fantastic , food is good and the way it is set out , crockery from the 50s and 60s . A must visit .

This is a unique place to visit even if you are not a petrol head, but it does help if you are. The service is backed by reasonably prices food, we chatted with friends for almost 2 hours as the atmosphere was very relaxing. This is what Britain does best, there must be more places like this but its finding... More

Friends told us about this cafe and thought why not, my husband is interested in cars and on site is a vehicle museum with a few cars to see, but garage tours are available with breakfast included, a treat for the men in your life. We visited on a bank holiday apprehensive that it may be busy, arriving 20minutes after... More

Very querky unusual place! Very good unique shops inside, good range of tasty food and good service. Nice to be different and this place certainly is. Going back tomorrow to take my mum as she will love it. It's like a local Heartbeat/Goathland but different. Quality goods in the little shops and some great cards too.

We arrived at 10am (opening time), It wasn't busy but as we were eating out breakfast the café started filling up. Apart from food and lovely shops selling 1950-1960's clothes for both men and woman. There is a museum outside under shelter. I would advise this café and museum for all ages

I've been visiting the Oil Can Café since it first opened - and have seen it expand the vintage / retro feel to much more than just a café in a garage. Think "vintage café in a vintage garage" and you'll get the idea. The exterior doesn't reflect what's inside, with old cars, bikes, motorbikes plus the café itself alongside... More

After taking a good half an hour trying to find the Carding Shed in Hepworth, it was very much worth the wait. Signage could be better, but once you get there, it's a gem! A lovely cream tea in an authentic setting. It's really like stepping back in time! Huge scones and a good cup of coffee. Great service and... More
