We had such a great tour with Greg. It was just my boyfriend and me. It happened to be a very foggy day so the lighthouse was blaring. That just added to the atmosphere. What a fun time we had and boy did we learn a lot! Highly recommended for all ages. Wear sturdy shoes and be prepared to climb all over the rocks and slippery seaweed.

We really appreciate the nice review! It sure was foggy at the start, but what a day it turned out to be. I enjoyed showing you the wonders of a Bay of Fundy rocky shore. Lots of plankton in the net, a green crab showing a regrown claw, cooperative barnacles and the coastline revealed as the foggy veil lifted. Thanks for choosing GAEL Tours!

Our two grandchildren (boy age 11 and girl age 12) loved this tour and so did I! The Plankton, Periwinkles and Predators Tour at Point Prim, Digby Co., was conducted by Greg Turner. Over about two hours, he guided us from the parking lot near Point Prim lighthouse, across a grassy area, then a rocky area and through the seaweed all the way to the Bay of Fundy waves. We learned about the lighthouse, shipwrecks, local heroes, Fundy tides (highest in the world), seaweed, periwinkles, whales and all kinds of creatures. We actually watched a seal in the water, viewed tiny plankton, picked dulse and held green crabs. Greg involved us in a "hands-on" experience with nature that opened our eyes to the wonder of life on the shores of the Bay of Fundy. It was definitely an experience we'll always remember!

We did the Plankton, Periwinkle & Predator tour which I can’t recommend highly enough. Everything was explained in an interesting way & just spending the time to really look & find the minuscule creatures that can be found in rock pools was fantastic. Rock formations, different lichens, plankton, tiny crabs & the dancing legs of feeding barnacles were all pointed out & discussed. A wonderful way to spend a morning. Thank you Greg.

These tours can only be made at low tide. Unfortunately that was at 8:30 in the morning, but it was worth it. Mr Turner is a retired School teacher and a good teacher. There were 6 adults and 3 children 8-12 years old. The kids enjoyed it and so did the adults. You have to wear good shoes because the area you will be exploring was covered by the sea a few hours before. The seaweed and rocks etc become real slippery. We wore water shoes. There were puddles of water with all kinds of living things - crabs etc. Mr Turner had little microscopes so that you could see tiny creatures in the water. I was given a red leaf something or other that looked like leaf lettuce and tasted salty. We saw one seal swimming around. As we got closer to the waters’ edge the seal stopped diving for food, and watched us! I do not think that the seal is part of the tour, but that was cool.

Thank you for the nice review. This group was lots of fun! So glad you were able to enjoy the best of the shoreline. Coming prepared with water shoes made it easier to get around on the seaweed and explore the tide pools. Always nice to see a curious seal.

Decided to take this tour after reading trip advisor suggestions. Thought it would be an interesting way to learn about the Bay of Fundy while on our first visit. My wife and I really enjoyed the tour. An interesting and informative time for families or adults without kids. Greg is knowledgable and friendly tour guide and his Gael Tours rightly belongs on Trip Advisor's list of things to do in Digby.

Amazing Experience! We found Greg via Trip Advisor and are so glad we did! We did the PPP tour with a 3 and 5 year old and Greg was patient, passionate and provocative. Imagine a combination of Stuart McLean and that cool high school science teacher that made seaweed super interesting. Our 3 year old can be demanding and "hands on", and Greg was gracious and kind in dealing with him.
The location seriously can not be beat! As we saw people touring on their own I felt really privileged to be getting the depth of info we were from Greg. He is so passionate about what he does, and gives you a real sense of the Digby community.
Would recommend this experience to anyone!

We did this tour in Jul 2018 and took a while to write the review. Greg showed up with a trunk full of equipment and started handing stuff to the kids - they were already engaged at the parking lot and it only got better from there. Greg is such a great and passionate guide. He is a fountain of knowledge and kept both the kids and the adults interested and entertained the entire time. We learned so much and had a really great time. Highly recommended!

Greg was a great guide - very knowledgeable! Digby isn't a big town, so you can see all of the highlights, such as the churches and beautiful waterfront during the tour. He takes the time to stop for pictures and questions.
