Taroudant is an older, smaller version of Marrakech. It is located east of Agadir on the road to the Sahara Desert. If you take the road from Agadir to Taroudant, you might be lucky and see “goats in a tree” along the way. Unlike Marrakech,...More

The Sunday souq is set up just north of the city outside the walls. You can see it from the gate to the city. It's only a 5 minute walk but some may prefer a petite taxi if you plan on buying lots of items....More

Sensational and traditional and do not miss it. Easy to get to by taxi. 10 dirham. Just make sure to ask about photos before you point.

If you are looking for some souvenirs don't miss this spot. Just avoid so-called "local friends" who will try to guide you through the souk - if you go alone, you are much more likely to get smaller prices and the sellers are more likely...More

A friendly local was keen to give us a tour of the city for 20-30 Dirhams. After letting him show us to the market, which we might otherwise have missed, we gave him some Dirhams and he was happy enough to let us explore by...More

The Old Souk in Taroudant is a very interesting place to visit. It is also called the “Sunday Souk” but we saw no reference to that name while we were in Taroudant. Not as large as it’s name sake located in Agadir, yet it is...More

This is a real market with people trading and buying everything, mostly animals and farm products. Located outside the old city walls this market is not a tourist attraction per se, but it provides a good insight on what real people buy and how they...More

Different in a good way but not everyone's cup of tea. As mentioned in other reviews a variety of products, produce and live animals available to purchase. We felt safe if not a little over whelmed, with a visit to experience real Morocco.

Made to feel unsafe and our tour guide was worse than terrible!!!! We were taken through the souks and not allowed to barter. Came back empty handed. The coach trip from Agadir was 3 hours return trip. Disgusting!!! The only saving grace was seeing tree...More

We had traveled around southern Morocco before chilling for a couple of days in Agadir & visiting Taroudannt. The medina & souk here are readily accessible from Agadir (by local bus or shared grand taxi, rather than an expensive chaperoned tour from your hotel) and...More
