NOTE : THE CAVE IS A NATURAL SEA CAVE - IT IS SLIPPERY, IT IS WET, IT IS A SEA CAVE. WE DO SEND A GUIDE WITH EACH TOUR TO AIDE PEOPLE AS NEEDED. WE DO ADVISE THE ELDERLY AND THOSE NOT FIRM ON THEIR FEET TO STAY 'UP TOP'AND ENJOY THE SCENERY AND MAYBE A RUM PUNCH OR TWO! A Natural Wonder of Barbados not to be missed. Located at the most northerly tip of the Island is the Animal Flowr Cave where the coastal scenery is spectacular. The cave got its name from the tube worms that are found in its many rock pools, these are seasonal however so not always in residence, regardless the cave itself is still well worth a visit. You can even swim inside the largest rock pool inside the cave which a fantastic adventure all by itself. Make sure you bring your swim wear and towels. The views from the naturally formed windows out to the ocean are fabulous so bring your camera too. There is now a new restaurant on site and seating area with panoramic sea views, there is a children's playpark too so plan to spend some time with us enjoying the cool sea breezes and the fabulous views that we love to share with you all. We loved our visit here. We enjoyed our time in the sea cave even though we paddled in the pool and didn't swim. Our guide was great and didn't rush us at all. The views from inside the cave and outside from the cliff are...More

We decided to take a drive up to North Point and while we didn't actually go into the Animal Flower cave, the grounds and views of the ocean from the premises are more than worth the visit!! It's not that expensive to enter the cave,...More

This is a beautiful site, although the seaweed hampered some of it's beauty. The North Point is a welcomed contrast to the south coast (where we stayed). The water is rough and constantly crashing into the cliffs. You have to walk through the cave to...More

This is worth a visit. It's not expensive and swimming in the natural cave pool is a unique experience. As for the 'animal flower' bit......we didn't see any animals and only a clutch of tiny flowers. Not really sure why it's called that? There is...More

We looked at the reviews and thought this was a must see place whilst on Barbados. It took about an hour to get there from where we were (near Cranes) and the journey allows you to see some different Bajan countryside on the way, and...More

Visited the cave on an overcast day in Barbados. What an amazing experience. This place is so cool and if you are a Game of Thrones fan it will remind you of the war room in Dragonstone. Our guide Rashawn was very knowledgeable and helpful....More

I visited the cave while on holiday with my two children aged 6 and 8. We didn't really read any reviews before going, so didn't have any expectations. We really enjoyed our visit. Wear your swimming costume under your clothes as you can swim in...More

The animal flower Cave is located in St.Lucy which can be a bit of a trek from the South Coast. However, it offers some stunning views and the waves crashing into the island makes for a rustic and relaxing atmosphere. As others have noted bring...More

Animal Flower Cave was named after anemones, but for me the real highlight is the actual cave itself and its history. Our guide was informative, friendly, and a lot of fun. You can pretty much see what the cave has to offer inside of an...More

Yes I would say we swam for about 15 or so minutes. The tour guide didn't rush us but there was another part of the cave to explore. I think our total tour was 45 minutes. Plenty of time.
