- SundayMilan, Italy38 contributionsDazzled by the Caribbean blueOn my first day in Barbados I went to Miami Beach, also called Enterprise Beach. Early in the morning it is very peaceful. The water is so transparent that you can see fish. Close to the beach there are also showers with hot water. What a treat!Visited March 2024Travelled soloWritten March 5, 2024
- billybob101Vancouver, Canada676 contributionsParadise beachWe really enjoyed our time at this beach. Engaged a local proprietor for chairs and a sun umbrella and just relaxed all morning. Calm, warm and safe waters with beautiful white sand. There were a few locals selling food and drink.Visited March 2024Travelled with familyWritten March 27, 2024

One side is a little choppy but the other is lagoon like and perfect for swimming in crystal clear water. Adults only and not really suitable for little ones. There is a very picturesque , manned lifeguard tower.Visited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten May 10, 2024
- Michel d DShediac, Canada497 contributionsBeautiful beachNice visit. Beach is beautiful. The food trucks are open and they are very friendly and helpful. Bev, the chair rental lady, was very pleasant and helpful as usual. Unfortunately on the day of our visit, the waves were huge, so we were limited on our water time.Visited November 2024Travelled with friendsWritten November 14, 2024
- PJD652,231 contributionsLovely beach and popularMiami Beach is very popular and you can see why with its beautiful blue sea and golden sands. Parking along the road is easy enough and there are vendors selling food and drink. It is very popular and the sun beds fill up pretty quickly. Worth a chill with a few Banks!!!Visited December 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten December 1, 2024
- William SKobe, Japan1,581 contributionsGreat Beach Experience!Miami is a nice, wide beach bordered by shade trees and the ocean. There’s a calm end and a more wavy end. The sand drops off a bit sharply when you walk in but you can get some distance out before it is over our head. There is parking though on a busy day you’ll have trouble finding a spot. There are picnic tables available, lounges for rent and a pretty good toilet and changing area. You can hang in the shady area or on the sunnier beach. It’s a friendly and family-oriented beach.Visited December 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten December 26, 2024

Very nice beach. Not very busy. Nice even entry into the ocean. No seaweeds. Waves have been small most days except last one.
You can get beach chairs and umbrellas at a cost of $15US (2 chairs and one umbrella). The lady is very nice.
The food truck is closed, but there is a small restaurant that is open - but it has been closed on many occasion.

Miami Beach is lovely. There are two sections, one with more waves and the lagoon area which is very calm, great for exercising . You can rent an umbrella and chair for 15 USD per day. The washroom facilities are very clean as well as fresh water showers. There is no longer a food truck, however there are a couple of small vendors with French fries, fish cakes, water and hot dogs.
I would recommend spending time here.

Lovely beach with fine white sand. You can rent sunbeds & umbrella for BBD 30/$ 15 for 2 beds & umbrella, make sure to rent from Rosalin, sweet lady with the white umbrellas. Cash only as many places on the island.
Waves can be quite strong some days and some days there’s a bit of seaweed at the shore.
Other than that turquoise water, plenty of room for shade under trees.
There are outdoor showers and toilet.
Weekends the food truck was open. Otherwise Casper’s (cafe) is right there and very recommended- CASH only as well

Beach is beautiful and many local food options close by. Lady who rents chairs is difficult to deal with. Was constantly watching us incase one of our children sat in the chair. 350 pound guy beside us on a chair but I couldn’t have my 40 lb kid sit on the front to eat his lunch. Also would constantly come over to tell our kids to stop touching umbrella. My daughter put her hand on it, again people had their heavy book bags hanging off it and you are going to come harass us for this stuff. She had an obvious problem with families.
Every time you turned around she was staring at us like a hawk. We eventually left as she was making our time un-enjoyable and our kids uncomfortable. Go to any other beach if you have kids. We had an excellent week and went to many beaches with chair rentals and didn’t have a single issue. The lady who rents at Miami needs to get a life and let people enjoy their vacation.

Miami Beach has become a very popular beach with tourists and locals.
There is a lot of natural shade underneath the trees. There is a lady on the beach who rents sun beds and parasols there is also a gazebo on the beach where you can buy sarongs and beach towels.
There is a toilet block and changing rooms that close at 5pm however there are also some outdoor showers.
There is a yellow bus that used to serve snacks and drinks but when we went it appeared closed and the chairs all chained up. We did notice that there is somebody doing food and drinks further past the outside showers we didn’t go ourselves so can’t comment on what is served or price. Also there was a lady selling soft drinks from the roadside where cars park.
The sea can be rough at times with some big waves but there is also a side which is very calm where locals take their children.
The planes coming into Barbados fly above the trees in the afternoon so if you like plane spotting perfect location.
We did notice however a local man begging for money and cigarettes regularly every day which put us of a little. After saying that when you said no he soon moved on but it’s not what I expect when I come to relax on a beach.

Our favourite beach by far and we did a full island tour. Take money for a bed and you can also buy delicious frozen Bajan cherry juice. If you get hungry go to Oistins and make sure you try the saltfish cakes, so good!

A locals beach, with some tourists, there are waves and it’s a pebble bottom once you’re in the water. Just north of the lifeguard tower is a small beach with a sandy bottom that is more protected and popular. Picnic tables, pretty clean, with showers and toilets on the northern part of the beach. You’ll also find a few food vendors and folks renting loungers and umbrellas. On a quiet dead end street. In all pretty nice, albeit short of spectacular.

Miami Beach was never overcrowded and our hotel set up deck chairs directly next to the beach. Miami beach is split into two sections/sides with a small peninsular, the beach has beautiful white sand, warm water and there were small waves. There was a tiny amount of seaweed when entering the water but the seaweed dissipated quickly as I got further out. The other side of the beach was protected by the peninsular and the water seemed calmer with no waves. Great beach if you are after a less crowded, smaller, quieter local beach

Been going to this beach since I was a little girl visiting family and it’s beautiful. Unfortunately the lady who rents the chair out became a little aggressive when my mum and aunt came to join us very briefly. They just came to sit on the chairs with us for no more than 5 mins and she came over and told them to “get up now”. Left a sour taste in my mouth. Won’t be giving her any more of my money

This is my favourite beach in Barbados I first visited here in 1999 and annually ever sense!!
It is small enough to feel secluded and large enough to enjoy..
Both locals and tourists visit here and have fun...

Is there some place to get food and cocktails? I read a review that said there was, but a more recent review said it closed.

You have to leave the beach area, but Oistins is steps away. The quietness of the beach is worth it

Hi all
Anyone who has visited recently (or who is there at the moment) be able to comment on current status of the sargassum on Enterprise?
Thanks!
Written February 13, 2019
There is no sargassism on this beach right now there was some earlier in the year and early June but has gone away now. I go there 4 times a week.

Are there chairs and umbrellas for rent on the calmer side of the beach?

As a frequent visitor to Miami beach I would like to ask why the garbage is not collected more often? Sometimes the stench overwhelms the beauty. Barbados Tourism needs to monitor this problem.
Written January 30, 2018
There was a change in government ,unfortunately I understand there is a lack of funds and the sargassum seaweed has once again inundated the beaches, especially on the east/south coasts. The government seems to be more concerned with the situations on the West/Gold Coast and less so with the rest of the island.

Would love to visit Enterprise Beach. Mom is in a wheelchair and can only take a step or two. Is there am area that is wheelchair accessible?
Written December 13, 2017
Hi there , it’s a sandy beach I’m not sure you can push wheelchair onto it, we parked on the curb and had to take few steps down to beach , I think most beaches you will struggle to push a wheel chair

A lot of complaints about seaweed and smelling at Miami beach. You're the last post, how was it and I don't like trinket shopping, what kind of shopping here? We'll be there next week, first week in February. Thank you. Lorie

Barbados is a beautiful country and we love going there next year will be out third time so I know it doesn't answer your question for October but hope you have a great trip and Miami beach is clean and has everything there for you
