Gorgeous

Went inside the cave for a bit but hung out more outside and climbing the mountain. Definitely some amazing views.

Hidden gem
Jul. 2020 • Family
A very positive surprise. We had time left and walked up to the canyon. Only few people this day which is a big plus. Bring extra shoes as they might get wet if you go into the cliffs. But it’s worth it. Our two teenagers also loved it!

worth the risk
Aug. 2019
To enter the cave you have to pass a running stream. If the water level is high, you might need to take off your shoes and socks and wade through water, When we were there, we walked on stones paved by previous tourist when the water level is low. It may be a little been risky when the stones become slippery, I did see people got her shoes wet when stepped into running water by accident. Inside the first cave, you can see a narrow sky and appreciate the power of the river which cut through the weaker vein among the harder rocks. If you squeezed yourself pass another narrow and more dangerous gap, your reward is a beautiful waterfall. Good luck.

Hike in it’s “gorge”ous

Beautiful short walk into this lush green gorge, filled with moss. You have to cross some water, hopping over rocks. Better if you have waterproof walking shoes.

Not for an easy stroll
Jul. 2019 • Couples
This crack in the mountain is quite big and people flocks to this place just to enter. You can tell from what they are wearing that they are not prepared for this. So, dress accordingly for navigating a small, narrow ravine/crack. You will walk in the water just to enter the first "room". From there you will walk in even more water and after another 10m you will need to climb a 1,5-2m high waterfall. Most people go to this point and then turn back causing somewhat of a traffic jam of people going back and forth. It's a fun visit for sure.

Tricky but fun
Jun. 2019
We went at 9:30 pm. Barely anyone there. The walk up in June was no big deal. But getting into the cave required stepping around a few stones in the water. Also not hard. But getting up the rocky stream could be tricky. Not everyone in our party made the climb. We got to the waterfall with the rope ladder and some of our teens climbed up and found another waterfall, that they also climbed up. They were soaked by the end but all agreed it was worth it. Glad we did it as the last activity of the day

Beautiful

This is a great stop on the self drive around the peninsula. It is just off the road with a very short walk. Suitable for all levels. The in and out of the gorge is a little slippery so for little kids or the elderly you will want to be careful. Inside the gorge is a small area to take some pictures and just take in the beauty.

Must. Stop.
Jun. 2019 • Family
Perhaps our fave stop yet on this trip with our 8 and 10 yr old. Unassuming gorge - but you can hike/climb your way through it! A few tricky spots, but not terrible. We made it to the “end” - where we could see up the waterfall. Someone has hung a green rope there with knots — would love to have tried our hand at going up, but knew we’d get soaked.

Not crowded at all - a definite must see!

Mesmerizing

Right off the main highway as you drive the Western Peninsula, this is a beautiful little hike. There is a small parking lot, no facilities. A small sign tells the legend of what occurred at this site. It can be windy, so a hat and warm jacket are advised. As you climb up the moderately graded path, amazing views await you as you look back. We had a fantastically clear day. As you enter the crevice, the rocks are not slippery and the water was not deep (we were there mid June).

Worth the climb
Mar. 2019 • Friends
Went with friends and the hike was a little intense for the less experienced due to the high height of the snow. Amazing place!!
