Slightly difficult to reach through beautiful forest roads so a very quiet and peaceful abbey to visit. The chapel, abbey and gardens really merit the trip. Interesting herb based products made at the abbey in a very traditional shop.

We really enjoyed our visit to Vallombrosa and we would recommend you to visit. When you visit, take a picknick blancket and food and drinks with you. They is a huge valley where you will find locals having a barbeque and enjoying their free afternoons....More

The visit of this monastery is not easy: predefined schedules of inside visit are only provided in July and August, as for the rest of the year only visits by groups (by previous reservation) are allowed. So at the "regular" visitors only the chance remains...More
