The group-prepared meal was underwhelming. The chef managed to overcook the risotto and somehow assist the group in preparing a meal that was seriously bland. The star of the meal was the dessert. It was too chaotic and is not designed for a large group or for people who have problems standing for an extended length of time.

Our group of 9 thoroughly enjoyed learning to cook Italian dishes at this wonderful cooking school. Gianluca was very good at dividing his time, instructing each person to prepare different portions of the meal. In addition to learning to make excellent pasta and other dished, Gianluca invited us back, along with some other guests, to a meal another evening that... More

Gianluca and everyone you meet at this secret place will meet you with professionalism as with great warmth and hospitality. We have stayed here in an apartment by the school for 9 days now and wish we could stay a little longer. The pool is minimal but nice and clean - as the place in general. Gianluca helped us more... Gianluca led our group of nine people, including two teenagers, through the preparation of a traditional Italian meal which we then ate on the veranda with a lovely view of Tuscan hills. He met us as we walked up his driveway with a basket of freshly picked herbs in his hand. His passion for teaching his cuisine and love of... More

Gianluca Pardini made learning to cook some very intricate Italian dishes fun and educational. We made pasta from scratch, tiramisu to die for, and learned some very basic sauces such as sofrito. All of the meals were prepared from fresh ingredients and eaten with gusto by all the participants in the class. I highly recommend this class for anyone who... More

Just outside the fortified old city of Lucca sits a beautiful hillside villa where Chef Gianluca Pardini teaches traditional Tuscan cooking and the philosophy of the slow food movement. Chef Gianluca, a warm natural born teacher, is extremely well organized giving each of the 10 students in my class, individual support and attention as he moved from station to station... More

A group of 4 of us recently attended a cooking class and dinner and had a great time. Chef Mariella was standing at the door of the villa when we arrived and gave us a warm, Italian welcome. The villa is not hard to find, thanks to the help of gps, and is located in the countryside just 4 kilometers... More

My husband and I along with another couple(all of us love to cook) were so fortunate and lucky to cook here for three days. Since the school is in a tranquil country setting10 minutes away from Lucca and since we were travelling by train, Gianluca, the chef and owner picked us up at one of the gates of Lucca each...
