Overview
More
As the first wine and brewing estate in the southern hemisphere, we run a small but growing micro brewery, water bottling plant, winery and vineyard situated in the Western Cape of South Africa. We have much to offer, not only to the beer and wine enthusiast, but to those just interested in visiting our beautiful country estate near Stanford in the shadow of the Klein Rivier mountains. Here you will find out about our exceptional beer, our country estate, our brewery. As of September 2015 the restaurant is under new management called "Birkenhead Galley" separately listed in Trip advisor by the new owners. Come and enjoy our delicious food and freshly brewed beer, and visit our vineyard and winery where we produce Walker Bay Vineyards wines.

Was ignored by the staff. Asked to be served 4 times. After an hour without being served we decided to leave. 13 people left at the same time due to the same problem.

Nice stop on a long drive, and clean modern facility. Typical of wineries in South Africa and the beer was ok. Nothing made this venue stand out as special, just ok.

Nothing beats beer and brats on a hot day, and this place delivered. Nice country scenery, chill vibe, and refreshing beer. Get a flight!

What makes this estate so special is that you can get a wine and beer tasting of wine and beers made right at the estate - a first in South Africa. We were lucky to get a spot right by the fireplace on a cold...More

We always pop-in when in the area, honey blonde beer is the best! Food is not bad either and great for the kids to run around and play.

Honey Blonde Beer. Great setting. Kid friendly. Pub and grub with sport. Walker Bay wines. Maintained winery and vineyards. Exquisite mountain views.
